Thimphu Tshehu Festival
Thimphu Tshechu Festival is the national festival of Bhutan, which is celebrated for three days in Thimpu. This festival falls in September. Monks and people dance by wearing colorful masks and dresses. The most important part of the Thimphu Tshechu Festival is the biggest sacred Thongdrol or scroll. It's spread out in the air with the message of world peace.
Merak Tshechu
Merak Tsechu festival is celebrated in eastern Bhutan by the people of the Brokpa community. It's a vibrant festival celebrated with mask dance and cultural music in August.
Punakha Drubchen
Punakha Drubchen festival is celebrated in February. This festival is a tribute to Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and the soldiers who fought against Tibet and led the country into unification. On this day, people display the old Bhutanese martial arts.
The Black-necked Crane Festival
This festival is celebrated in November in Phobjikha Valley. This valley is the habitat for the endangered Balck-necked Crane. The main purpose of celebrating the Black-necked Crane festival is to aware and educate people about this rare endangered bird in Phobjikha Valley.

Bhutan in Summer/Monsoon (Mid-April- Mid-September):

Bhutan in Autumn (September-November):

Bhutan in Winter (December-February):
Winter in Bhutan is cold. Temperature reaches 9–17°C during the day. -6–5°C at night. You can expect snow above the altitude of 3000 m. Due to heavy snow, it might be difficult to navigate the road. However, glowing snow makes the Buddhist Kingdom extremely beautiful. It is recommended to gear with proper winter clothes like jackets, gloves, sleeping bags, and boots in the tour plan for Bhutan.
