Pokhara Lake Tour is one of the significant activities to do in Pokhara. Along with the scenery of the mountains, Pokhara is also famous for its lakes. While there are about eight lakes near Pokhara, some of them are very small in size.

However, Fewa, Begnas, and Rupa are quite large lakes and deserve your attention. With a boating facility in Begnas and Fewa Lake, one can opt to involve in fishing and swimming by renting a boat.

The crystal clear reflection of mountains in vivid water has made it even more enchanting. The Tal Barahi temple in the middle of Fewa Lake has completed the puzzle of our jigsaw by adding more charm to our tour. More About The Tour

The Pokhara valley has seven lakes in total but only two of them are known all over the world whereas other lakes remain a mystery. Fewa lake, the second largest lake in Nepal is the centre of attraction of the valley where one can opt to do a boating tour. The lake offers varieties of boats and the cost is decided per hour.

The same thing applies to Begnas Lake. While boating, we can see the reflection of the Annapurna mountains in the crystal-clear water of the lake. The Shanti stupa just above the lake makes it even more tantalizing. The overall view of the whole lake can be perceived from the hills of World Peace Pagoda along with the hypnotizing view of the snow-capped Himalayas.

Begnas has yet to gain the same popularity as Fewa but it is unique on its own. The Fish of this lake is very renowned among food lovers. Also, we have a boating facility here. The lake is still in the developing stage as big hotels and restaurants are under construction.

The other lake just beside the Begnas is Rupa Tal. However, this lake has been less prioritized so, there aren't any facilities available here. Though the city has seven lakes, only two lakes are brought into light whereas other lakes are still in the dark. Anyway, the lake tour is one of the must-do things in Pokhara Valley.

The Pokhara Lake tour begins from your hotel where a car will pick you up. We then reach Fewa Lake, where we will be boating for an hour. The Fewa Lake is the second biggest Lake in Nepal. Moreover, there is a Hindu Temple called Barahai Mandir in the middle of the Lake which is a popular destination for Hindu pilgrims.

Boating on the Phewa lake can be an extraordinary experience as we’ll also get to enjoy the Himalayas. Hence, boating on Fewa lake is one of the best things to do in Pokhara. After that, we’ll come back to the shore and our exploration of lakes continues.

Now we journey towards Begnas Lake, which is not as famous as Phewa, but, equally beautiful. The Lake is in Lekhnath, about 15 km from Lakeside. We can also do boating in this lake.

Finally, we travel towards Rupa Lake. Unlike Fewa and Begnas, Rupa is located in a somewhat quiet and rural area. However, the Lake is 4 km away from Begnas. Also, we perceive the Lake from atop the hill of Sundaridada. It takes about half an hour to reach there. The Lake itself is quaint and calm.

Also, due to less popularity, the Lake is unspoiled and clean. After enough viewing of the Lake, we get back to our private vehicle and return to our hotels.
