Journey to The Most Extreme Lake
Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is a popular destination for people looking to explore the Himalayas and is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. The trek to Tilicho diverts from the Annapurna Circuit at Manang where we take a southward route to Khangsar. From Khangsar village, we walk further upwards to reach the Tilicho Base Camp. From there, we have to ascend again to reach Tilicho Lake. The trail to the lake is quite adventurous as we walk through a ridge along a slope. The path is unique as there is nothing except stones and sand. However, you’ll continuously see the views of the Annapurna Range and Tilicho Himal itself. You will also walk through Thorong La Pass, which is at a height of 5416 meters from sea level. This trek is moderately challenging. Most trekkers can complete this trail with extra caution and attention. The difficult part is to ascend to the lake itself because the trek routes to this lake are mostly covered in snow which may befuddle the trekkers. Similarly, the lack of tea houses on the periphery of the lake adds more to its difficulties. To spend a night on the world's highest glacier lake, we have to stay in a tent for a night. So, the tools are carried from the city areas. This journey is suitable for beginners too. The route of the Tilicho Lake Trek is virtually the same as that of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, except for the diversion at Manang. So, we must return from the lake to Manang and continue on the trail. Alternatively, we can take a different route to reach Jomsom directly. The Tilicho Lake Trek package can be customized as per your needs, availability, and budget. The Annapurna circuit trek with Tilicho Lake's itinerary is detailed; however, We can fully customize the itinerary of the trek as promised and expectations. The cost of the Annapurna circuit with the Tilicho Lake trek varies according to the agencies, but we will give you the most reasonable price. Furthermore, this trek can be combined with the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and other treks of the Annapurna sanctuary. How Difficult is the Annapurna Circuit Trek With the Tilicho Lake?

Ice Lake ( Kicho Tal) Overview:
Ice Lake, known as Kicho Tal, is a stunning alpine gem in Nepal's Manang Valley. Sitting at an impressive altitude of 4620 meters (15,157 feet), this high-mountain lake often wears a frosty coat due to its location. A bowl-shaped valley cradles the lake, encircled by majestic snow-crowned peaks that touch the sky. The journey to Ice Lake usually starts from either Manang or Braka villages and takes about 7-10 hours round trip, offering a captivating trekking adventure.
Ice Lake has earned its spot as a sought-after destination for avid hikers exploring the renowned Annapurna Circuit. This hike is visually enchanting and a test of your mettle. Once you arrive, the views from the lake's vantage point are nothing short of breathtaking. Imagine gazing out upon the panorama of snow-kissed peaks like Annapurna II (7937 meters), Annapurna III (7219 meters), and Gangapurna (7406 meters). The lake is cradled by glaciers, filled with pure meltwater streaming down from these icy giants.
While the Ice Lake is always cold, due to its high altitude in the Himalayas, and the average temperature ranges from 2 to -5 degrees Celsius, Annapurna Circuit Trek and visit to Tilicho Lake is comparatively easier during spring and Autumn seasons.
The area surrounding Ice Lake is a pristine wilderness, an untouched canvas of natural beauty. The lake's reflective waters mirror the astonishing views, and the untamed wilderness embraces you in raw splendor. Reaching Ice Lake is a physical accomplishment and a soul-filling journey that rewards you with a sense of triumph and a connection to nature's grandeur.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake Company Reviews
Annapurna Circuit Trek
Mohan, Bharat and their team were fantastic. Mohan went above and beyond to make an extremely competitive price and ensured that we enjoyed ourselves on the trek with having the worry of meals taken care of and accommodation. Especially in the busy time of year there were a few times that accommodation was hard to come by but our guide had gone to great length to make sure we had a place to eat, sleep with a lot of other comforts like hot showers available. The circuit exceeded all expectation, with the help of Mohan and his team. Couldn’t recommend them enough.
Annapurna Circuit Trek
We booked our guide and porter with North Nepal for our Annapurna circuit trek. Mohan was super helpful in helping organise our trek and responsive in communication.
Our guide (Bishnu) and porter (Ganesh) took care of us throughout the 14 day trek from Dharapani to Tatopani. They made sure we have an enjoyable, fun and most importantly safe trek during these days. Bishnu also shared a lot of local knowledge, culture and customs that we wouldn’t know of if travelling without a guide. Both are kind, honest and go out of the way to host their guests. I strongly recommend booking with North Nepal.
